Meet the Prayer Plant (Maranta leuconeura), a houseplant with a little personality. It's beautifully patterened leaves lie flat during the day, then fold upwards in the evening like hands in prayer, which is how it got its name.
It's perfect for brightening up a desk space, shelf or windowsill.
CARING FOR YOUR PRAYER PLANT:
- Bright, indirect light suits this plant best. Direct light risks scorching or fading the leaves.
- Keep the soil lightly moist but never soggy. Water whenever the top centimetre feels dry.
- Loves humidity, so mist regularly or place it in a bathroom or kitchen.
- Ideal temperature is 18-24 degrees.
