A good old basket o' aloe! This stylish woven plant container is ideal for plant fans with a boho-inspired home as the natural texture will blend in seamlessly and Aloe Vera is pretty easy to care for too. The full scientific name for this plant is Aloe barbadensis miller, which we think sounds a bit like a personality from Made in Chelsea!
Aloe Vera plants like bright light - indirect sunlight is the best - and humid environments, so if you have a bare bathroom or kitchen windowsill (which gets plenty of indirect light), an aloe could be just the ticket. You can use Aloe Vera gel to topically treat burns or scratches but do not ingest it, as this can cause some nasty bodily reactions.
CARE FOR YOUR ALOE VERA: As we mentioned above, place this plant in an area that receives a lot of light, but not sustained direct sunlight, as this can dry out your Aloe Vera. If it starts to turn yellow, it's getting too much sun. With regards to watering this succulent plant, it likes a thorough watering every so often - every 2-3 weeks should suffice and even less so in the winter months. When the soil feels dry, that is a good indication that the plant needs a bit of a drink.
Aloe barbadensis miller also likes to be repotted in a larger container every 1-2 years to allow for growth (and so it can show off to its friends about the size of its house).
