Rhipsalis is a succulent plant which is perfect for hanging up in your home or can be pruned back to create a neat little pot plant to have on a mantle or shelf. These cuttings could be used to start a whole new plant too, just make sure to make clean cuts with a sharp knife or scissors and let the sap dry out before potting. In late winter or early spring, you may find that your Mistletoe Cactus has started sprouting pretty little white flowers.

This is, in fact, a cactus plant, but it grows in tropical rainforests as opposed to a dry desert landscape, so it has a different set of rules than what you're used to for cacti.

CARE FOR YOUR RHIPSALIS:
Despite being a cactus, this plant prefers indirect sunlight and a humid environment. Allow the soil to dry out a little before watering this plant, it will need watering even less during the winter months. Keeping the humidity high around this plant can be done by spritzing it regularly with a very fine mist, perhaps more than once a day when it has been particularly hot and dry in your house. Repot every 2-3 years, but keep these pots relatively small.
